Satirizing both the then-new video game craze and sleazy movies-of-the-week like Dawn, Portrait of a Teenage Runaway, this one blew our minds when we were kids and saw it in a 1982 Saturday Night Live hosted by Chevy Chase. As one of the earliest – and still one of the funniest – arcade parodies, it’s a natural choice for the hallowed honor of being the first inductee into the Video Game Comedy Hall of Fame.
