This video would be great to embed here, if only ABC News would give us that option. Instead, click here to watch yesterday’s call from President Obama and a group of school children to the astronauts aboard the International Space Station and the Space Shuttle Discovery.
The first question from the kids, which is then relayed with the proper seriousness by the President of the United States, is, “Can you play video games in space?”
An important question, and we thank goodness we finally have a President willing to confront the toughest issues. Here’s the answer from space – and check out the astronaut’s subtle dig at the kid at the end:
We can, in fact. And in fact a few years ago when I was up here for six months I had a video game that I used to play in my spare time. Unfortunately, we don’t have much spare time. … For the most part we stay real busy doing real work.
Burn! Take that, little kid!
