
If you’re anything like us (and God have mercy if you are), you’ve always maintained that arcade games were first made for chewing, and only later did people discover you could actually play them.
Thanks to Flickr user Jason Liebig, we have this 1983 display from Topps, the baseball card folks, who made this series of chewing gums dispensed in tiny replicas of Zaxxon, Centipede, Q*Bert, and Donkey Kong Jr., among others.
As the ad for today’s Classic Video Game Replay boasts, “Now kids can own a miniaturized version of their favorite Video Arcade Machines.” As well they should.
