FOX’s not-quite-SNL is finally leaving the air after an astounding 14 seasons, with a grand finale airing tomorrow night cleverly called “MadTV Gives Back.”
Despite its ever-present laugh track, MadTV has had some great moments over the years and its alumni include Artie Lange of the Howard Stern show and Alex Borstein of Family Guy. Both of them return for the finale along with other former cast members and of course the show’s current cast, which features funny friends of this blog like Lauren Pritchard, Eric Price, and Matt Braunger.
And although the show bore little resemblance to its legendary namesake MAD Magazine, we think this video from a year ago – about Grand Theft Auto: The Board Game – channels the MAD Magazine spirit quite nicely.
Farewell, MadTV… we will miss you.
