Today’s Classic Video Game Replay reminds us yet again of why the 1980s were some of the greatest years in American history. After all, when else could a guy with a look like this get a girl who looks like that?
When we watch this commercial, we like to imagine – in fact, we assume – that the guy from the commercial is the same guy singing the song, with heartfelt lyrics like, “The Defender sees lots of alien ships / The Defender sees lots of radar blips/ Every blip is a ship / on a body-snatching trip!”
Oh yeah, those two totally did it that night. How could they not do it after such an arousing game of Defender on the 2600?
Damn, we miss the ’80s.
