Our favorite magicians/skeptics/truth-tellers returned a couple weeks ago with the seventh season of their brilliant Showtime series, Penn & Teller: Bulls**t!, in which they methodically and hilariously dismantle the smoke and mirrors propping up societal assumptions everywhere.
In other words, they call bulls**t. (Only they’re allowed to not use the asterisks because they’re on Showtime and we’re not.)
The third episode premiered last night and the boys describe it this way on their web site:
Politicians and other alarmists claim that playing video games leads to teen violence. Penn & Teller attempt to debunk that theory by handing over a real semi-automatic weapon to a nine-year-old to see if playing video games will turn him into a human killing machine.
The episode spends time focusing on notorious anti-video game/anti-rap/anti-Howard Stern/anti-fun activist, disbarred attorney, and first-class BS artist Jack Thompson. But here’s a clip with someone who also makes us laugh:
The show repeats all weekend on Showtime (here’s a schedule) – so check it out.
