Finally! A Musical That Includes Fighting, Fire And Death!

Wednesday September 2, 2009 6:26 PM

World of Warcraft is well known as the most popular Massive Multiplayer game of all time. Thank goodness it’s online because millions of nerds would not smell too pleasant crammed together in a dark gaming room in the back of a comic book store. The downside of all these people online together is, of course, that nerds are undersocialized creeps a surprisingly frequent part of the time. So extremely powerful characters will often spend hours “camping,” or staking out low level characters and killing them over and over and over.  They do this just to feel better about themselves.  We just eat a box of Hostess Cupcakes every night.

The game’s publisher had a contest for musicals and this entry won first place. Is it as great as this recent parody? Maybe, judge for yourself….

So you see, evil always wins. More proof yet that World of Warcraft is essentially a bunch of YouTube commenters with swords.

But look at how much the game has still permeated our culture: some dads already apply Warcraft standards to boys wanting to date their daughters.
