The combination of old people and technology can be a tricky thing. Sometimes they hate the stuff. Show an old lady a computer, and she might be prone to smashing it to pieces.
But in this case, these old ladies (and mysterious bearded middle-aged dude, “The Old Lady Collector”) have embraced the future, and played one of Nintendo’s finest tunes: “Yoshi’s Athletic Theme.”
This is the Raspberry Jam Ragtime Band of Sacramento playing Yoshi’s music. Yes, they are all single. Groupies, anyone?
Sure, it’s clear that most of these old women have no idea that they’re playing a video game theme, but despite the fact that they may have been drugged, kidnapped, strapped to their musical instruments and forced to play, we’ll be damned if they don’t sound great!
So sit back, relax, sip your mint julep, and enjoy the last uncomfortably hot days of summer with the musical stylings of old women blowing Yoshi… through a musical instrument.
